I ordered a Tamron lens from Express Cameras last year and got up sold to a useless Sigma lens. The Sigma lens is now in a garbage bin in Beijing where it broke the first day of my trip. From what I can see

Best Price Cameras
are the worst offenders.

They buy ads on Google AdWords. So if you search for a brand you will often see their ads right on top of search listings. With an unbelievable low price. Example: Sony hdr-fx7 - normal price: $3,400. Price from these fraudsters: $1,949. Search for the store you are thinking of buying from FIRST. (I wish I did..)

If the price on web sites is more than 15% LESS than say... Amazon price
this is what will happen to you:

You will order the cheap item on line. Then you'll get an e-mail asking you to confirm the order. You call, and a very convincing person will either up-sell you to another product - which you haven't researched so you don't know the price - OR sell you all kinds of expensive extras.

The product will also come with exactly NOTHING else. No charger etc... and when you call you will be told all kinds of stories. And sold expensive accessories.

Another company doing this is Best Price Cameras who will advertise a $3,000 HD Camera for $1,699.
